Workflows
Keep a process, its tasks and its decisions together.
A workflow is the way your business does something, written down once and run the same way every time. Each step records what it did before the next one starts, and a decision that belongs to a person waits for that person.

If rejected
A step that needs a manager's approval
One process, from the moment it starts to the state it leaves behind.
Step 1
It starts on its own
A trigger starts the workflow: a schedule, a business event or a webhook. Nobody has to remember to run it.
Step 2
The work steps run
Each step uses a governed capability of the suite and records what it did before the next one starts.
Step 3
A person decides
HumanThe workflow opens an approval request and pauses. The approver finds it in their approvals inbox, and approves or rejects it.
Step 4
The result is recorded
If it is approved, the workflow continues on its approved branch. If it is rejected or expires, it takes the rejected branch, and the approved steps never run.
What every workflow gets
It starts on a schedule, an event or a webhook
Choose when a process begins, and it begins without anyone present.
It runs as an application, not as a borrowed person
An unattended run acts as an application identity, with only the permissions that identity was granted.
A step that fails says why
A failure takes the branch its author wired for it instead of disappearing.
You can watch it run
Follow each step live while the workflow runs.
